CW: Rape, pedophilia, bestiality misogyny, torture, sexual slavery. Yep, it’s one of those games! Lewd images are censored for the purpose of this review, and are not censored in-game.
Slave Witch April is an utterly repugnant pile of garbage that makes my skin crawl. Since I completed it, I’ve been pondering whether or not I consider it the worst eroge I’ve ever played. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s not only the worst eroge, but also the worst game I’ve ever played. A month ago, I reviewed Games&Girls, a train wreck of an ecchi title that devolved into pandering to literal Nazis in a pathetic plea for attention, only to not have the testicular fortitude to even admit it when I confronted the developers about it. Yet Slave Witch April practically has me yearning for the works of Yume Creations.
WTF is Nukige Septic Tank?
I need to emphasize that I don’t normally start reviews this way. Most of my readers know I give credit where it’s due, and that I write reviews to offer constructive feedback. This game, however, I really don’t know. I feel like this is far from the worst of the nukige genre. After all, most nukige is made for, and BY, people who would rather deep throat a ghost pepper than make woman cum.
Reviewing bad hentai games often feels weird, because it’s clear these games appeal to the most shallow taste imaginable. Lowest common denominator pandering isn’t exactly a new idea, but the “lowest common denominator” is half the fucking nukige market!

It goes without saying that a lot of my views are not widespread. I think my eroge content is successful precisely because it occupies an untapped niche and expresses uncommon viewpoints. But at what point am I waltzing into enemy territory with a target on my face? I’m not going to purchase I Can’t Believe My Little Sister Came inside my Boypussy at Our Family Reunion and expect Mark Twain. Although now that I think of it, that hypothetical bad hentai game I made up actually sounds kinda hot. But what about the games from those Indiegala Bundles I bought years ago?
I recently decided that I’d give these games the benefit of the doubt and see what they have to offer. I DID enjoy Ruby Striker, and I got that from one of those bundles. It’s not as if they can never be good, but I’ll inevitably repeat myself in the negative reviews. Hence the introduction of the new title scheme.
Slave Witch April is Unsexy, and Here’s Why.
I have previously played less than an hour into Slave Witch April. I thought it would be bad enough for an introduction, but not bad enough for me to regret all my life choices. Unfortunately, this game got so bad that I thought to myself “why am I doing this?” Even now I wonder why I bothered to play this, or why I’m willing to risk my sanity on other terrible nukige? Do I just hate myself that much? I might have a genuine problem folks.

Slave Witch April is not as scarring and sickening as the figurative and literal shitfest that was Starless: Nymphomanic’s Paradise, despite all its attempts. Reading Slave Witch April actually gave me a better appreciation for Starless, and I didn’t think I’d ever utter those words. Starless gave me a lot more to hate than just shock content. It also gave me uninteresting characters, a maddeningly dull story, repetitive music, and bafflingly immature writing. But the shock content was the only thing that Starless did worse than Slave Witch April. The only reason Starless could shock anyone is because it understood writing enough to connect the player to its setting. I can at least partially understand someone liking Starless for a reason other than the sex scenes.
Slave Witch April does not rely on anything other than its sex scenes, and its sex scenes are awful. The only positive I can give is that the illustrations are decent. Unfortunately there is little animation, so you’ll just be looking at still images most of the time. This means its up to the writing and description to carry the sex scenes, and it does not come close. Most sex scene dialogue consists of transcribed sound effects and onomatopoeia, or April melodramatically describing her rape in a way no real person ever would.

The latter is a common hentai manga trope that is used as a substitute for narration. Visual novels often use it despite… you know, common sense. Not only is this unnecessary in a visual and written medium, but it makes every sex scene forced and awkward. Slave Witch April has a heavy emphasis on the corruption fetish. This fetish is when a woman is repeatedly violated and slowly realizes that she loves being a decadent slut. Yes, it’s un-feminist and not politically correct, but it’s also very fucking hot when written by someone with actual talent. Unfortunately that’s not the case with Slave Witch April.
When a character announces everything happening to her from the moment it happens, it removes all character progression and growth. Contrary to popular belief, writing good erotica requires talent at writing an immersive story and characters. I would know, I’m an erotica writer myself. A lot of writers view erotica as the most difficult type of fiction to write for a reason. It requires writers to set a very specific mood, and paint a vivid picture in the reader’s head.

The few times Slave Witch April tries to paint a picture with writing, it looks like Rei Ryghts made it. Whoever thought that the phrase “pork sword” was an acceptable euphemism for genitalia should be kept away from keyboards, and at least 100 miles from anyone in the same plane of existence. Instead of evoking sexual arousal through writing, Slave Witch April is an over-glorified slide show that throws a bunch of fetishes at you.
This is what I HATE about a large percentage of nukige and their consumer base; the misconception that one’s enjoyment is based on whether it has their fetish. Yes, Slave Witch April has a lot of fucked up scenes. And yes, they may have been sexy as hell if it was written by someone with talent. That is except for maybe the one where April is turned into a child and raped… or the one where Denis grows Aprils tits to an enormous size and fucks her nipples… or the one where Denis uses magic to re-form April’s hymen to take her virginity again and again. Maybe those last three are so stupid no one can make them genuinely hot.

And just to remind some people, my tastes are hardly vanilla. Most of the scenes in this game are tame as far as hentai goes. I even enjoyed some stuff more fucked up than this. Slave Witch April, however, had a few scenes that appealed to my tastes in concept, yet fell flat in execution. A woman getting gangbanged by multiple clones of herself, each with a large penis, while the woman shares her senses with all of her clones sound sexy as hell, but the person who wrote this garbage managed to fuck it up!
Slave Witch April is Disgustingly Misogynistic, and Here’s Why.
And there is one other thing I can give the game credit for; there were some pretty creative ideas for sex scenes. A lot of them were stupid as hell, but others at least made me think about wider background lore. Slave Witch April is set in a fantasy setting, and stars Denis, a whiny prick who frees an evil fairy. Denis and the fairy then conspire to take revenge on April the bossy witch the game is titled after. They briefly seal away April’s magic, and proceed to rape and torture her until she loses the will to resist.

I was not expecting this game to be respectful to women, but this game is misogynistic even by hentai standards. If you ever wanted to play hentai game written by Elliot Rodgers, look no further than Slave Witch April. Denis just can’t go three lines without bitching about how much he hates women or parroting some moronic incel drivel. Denis’s entire plan is to rape and torture a woman who hurt his fragile, pathetic, ego, and said women just so happens to fit the shallow stereotype that misogynists view all women as.
But it’s not even as simple as the main character being a smug piss stain who doesn’t wipe his ass (not stated in game but is pretty much common sense). The problem is that the writer’s own misogyny pervades…
… wait a minute, let me make sure they didn’t write anything I like or am interested in…
nope, nothing, now where was I?
It’s that the writer’s own misogyny pervades every asset of this script, right down to the shitty writing.
Feminists like myself often mock cishet men for not finding the clit. We don’t do this out of a believe that one’s sexual prowess equates to their worth as a human being. We do it because women were forced to prioritize men’s sexual desires for literal fucking millennia, while many men refuse to do the same for us. This results in endless fuckboys who expect women to satisfy their sexual need, despite not even trying to please their wives.

This mentality is front and center in Slave Witch April. Much of the plot is based around the disgusting idea that if you rape a woman enough times, she’ll eventually stop pretending she hates it. Not even in a “she’s brainwashed into being a slut” kind of way; more so the “all women secretly long to be sex slaves for pitiful shit goblins like Denis” kind of way. Reminder that this is what many of these scumbags actually believe in real life.
What pisses me off the most about this game is how smug it. It has the nerve to say that all women are secretly rape loving sluts, when it can’t even turn me on. ME, the kind of depraved cunt who sees a game about raping a woman in increasingly sadistic ways, and thinks “this could be pretty hot if only the person who wrote this has seen a woman’s clit before.”
And because I know that a bunch of apologists will lecture me about how this game is for men and not femoids; two of the game’s three characters are women. Those two women are also the only characters whose bodies are fully shown. Games like this are fully capable of appealing to women just as much as men, they just don’t. They don’t because they are garbage, and only appeal to people (mostly men) with garbage taste.

Conclusion
In other words, I’m not going to bother covering my ass on this one. I already know Reddit is going to lose its shit over this. Do I have anything to really say about this? Not really, this game is just shit. It’s the worst game I’ve ever played, but only until I reach even further into the nukige septic tank. If you want to play this game for some reason, it’s $25.00 on MangaGamer’s store. But there’s so much better fap material you could go with instead. I know, this is such a cliche review ending phrase, so let me see if I can recommend something specific. I mean, there’s Ruby Striker… but that’s not on MangaGamer’s site anymore. Of course that makes no difference to you, but I want to keep a good relationship with the publisher.
No, they aren’t asking me to do anything, aside from including the affiliate link whenever I cover their stuff. This game has broken my mind to the point that I need to end this review as facetiously as possible. Anyway let me know how you like this particular style of review. I mean, I’m still going to use it whenever I review a shitty nukige because I will just be repeating myself otherwise. And also anything in the vein of “this developer is a sexist” is also facetious, as I wouldn’t really know since I never met the guy and probably never will.
Anyway, I think that wraps up this review. This month will have one more hentai game review, so I guess that makes it a theme month. Anyway take care and don’t play Slave Witch April!
